How I Transitioned from Product Management to Project Management and What I Learned Along the Way
The transition from Product Management to Project Management: An Exciting and Fulfilling Journey
As a product owner and product manager, I spent many years creating and executing strategies for the products and services that I was responsible for. It was an exciting and fulfilling role that allowed me to take a long-term view of the products I was managing, focusing on the end goal of delivering a product that met customers’ needs and provided value to the business.
I enjoyed working with cross-functional teams, collaborating with engineers, designers, marketers, and customer support to ensure that everyone was aligned on the vision and strategy for the products I was managing. It was challenging work, but the rewards of seeing a product come to life and succeed in the market made it all worth it.
Despite my success as a product manager, I was curious about project management and decided to switch roles to explore a different area of expertise. I was excited to take on the challenge of managing projects, to focus on delivering specific deliverables and working within a project timeline.
